Shoppers bag money for L.A.A

Thanks to the amazing support of Co-op members a fantastic £2,411.83 has been raised for L.A.A.’s Community Pet Support Scheme (CPSS).

The Co-op Local Community Fund supports projects across the UK that its members care about.  Every time Co-op members buy selected Co-op branded products and services 2p for every pound spent goes to support community organisations and local causes.  We’re so grateful to the shoppers that selected the CPSS to benefit from the Scheme.

We are committed to helping elderly, physically disabled or housebound people to care for their companion animals at home.  The CPSS provides free support with practical pet care for those with long-term physical and mental health conditions.

The Scheme benefits both pets and their owners. It prevents well-loved animals from entering rescue unnecessarily, helps to prevent loneliness through regular visits from the Scheme's Animal Care Assistants and social events, and helps provide access wider support services.

The money raised will make a huge difference to the lives of those that are supported by the scheme.  We’re sure that they, and their animal companions, will want to say a massive thank you too!
