Hinckley House raises Christmas Cheer

Local animal lover, Mr Dave Letts of Bute Close, Hinckley, has turned his house into a winter wonderland in aid of LAA. What's more, Dave's light show is unlike any other – the lights are automated to dance to music, which you can tune into from your car!

Dave and his family have three rescue dogs and they wanted to support a local animal charity. Visitors to the display can make a donation to the JustGiving page which can be found here.

The project is a real labour of love for Dave. A year in the making, every part of the display is handmade using 3D printing. Each light has its own ID number so it can dance along to the tune playing, all coordinated from a circuit board which is also homemade. Dave plans to continue improving on the display year on year.

Dave says, “The reason I still do this is because of the great support from people who come to watch the display.  Last year I had letters from children thanking me for making their families happy.  I have had people come to my display who are down, due to COVID, and they have left with Christmas cheer.”

If you would like to have a fun outing with family, drive over to the DiddyDave Christmas Light Display at 9 Bute Close in Hinckley, LE10 0SJ now through the end of the year.
