Christmas at LAA

Christmas at LAA find out more

Could you make Christmas extra special for the residents of LAA this year? For just £6 you can give a Christmas present to one of our residents. If we are lucky enough to receive a present for all our animals this year, additional funds will go to keeping them warm, well fed and happy throughout 2020. To donate, please click here.

Do you have a relative or friend who is tricky to buy for? Why not surprise them with a gift membership to LAA? We can arrange for you to receive their certificate/badge etc in plenty of time for Christmas Day. What a nice way of showing that you care! Find out more here.

Christmas Cards and Calendars

Christmas cards and calendars can be bought at the Centre or through the website. Cards are also available to buy from the Methodist Church, Bishop Street, just near Town Hall Square in Leicester, LE1 6AF. The church has a great coffee shop and cards are usually on sale from the end of October to the middle of December.

Cattery and Reception Shops

We have plenty of toys and treats to give your cat or dog a special Christmas treat in our reception and Cattery shops. All profits from sales go to LAA.

Christmas Shopping

There are plenty of ways you can help our animals while you shop online this xmas, and many sites are completely free to the user. More info here.

Christmas Bazaar

Our Christmas Bazaar takes place on Saturday 16th November, 11am – 2pm at the Blaby and District Social Centre. It is always a nice cheery, festive affair. We will be selling Christmas decorations, jewellery, books, cosmetics, bric-a-brac, toys, linens, clothes, handbags, shoes and more. So if you’re looking for a more ethical, homemade Christmas, we’ve definitely got you covered!

Christmas Coffee Shop

An extra special Christmas coffee shop and sale will take place on 7th December, 10am – 1pm. A raffle will be held and in addition to the usual table top sale items, there will be plenty of festive treats. This occasion always has a nice, family feel, so feel free to bring friends and family members young and old to soak up the Christmassy atmosphere.

Christmas Day

Finally .. we would love you to share our animals' Christmas. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram if you don't already. Over the Christmas period, we will be posting plenty of photos of our animals 'opening' their presents and enjoying their Christmas treats. Stay tuned!
