Leave a Gift in your Will - Leicester Animal Aidfeature image

Leaving a Legacy

Since 1956 Leicester Animal Aid has been caring for lost, unwanted and abandoned cats and dogs. From humble beginnings, the charity has grown with the support of kind-hearted people, to enable us to help around 400 cats and dogs each year. LAA exists because of the vision and kindness of our founder, Dorothea Farndon, and you can help to secure the future of our work and our Centre by leaving a Legacy.

Legacy donations have funded essential projects at LAA, often allowing us to make changes to the fabric of our Centre that otherwise, we could not afford. Indeed, our cattery extension was completed due to a generous gift that was left to us in 2015.  However, Legacy donations have dropped in the last few years. We would like to make it easy for people to leave gifts in their Will. This is why LAA has recently developed a partnership with the online Will-writing service Beyond. You can read about online Wills below. Making an online Will is one way of setting out your wishes. Some people, however, may prefer to make a Will through a solicitor and we would always recommend that people do their own research and choose the service that suits them best.

Thank you for considering supporting our dogs and cats. If you have any questions or want to inform us that you have left us in your Will, please call 01455 888257, email info@leicesteranimalaid.org.uk or write to us at LAA, Elmwood Farm, Forest Road, Huncote, Leicestershire, LE9 3LE.
