Charity shop volunteers
If you love chatting to people, have a couple of hours to spare, then the Charity shop volunteer role could be for you! We would especially love to hear from you if you could join our 'casual' volunteers who we can call on when needed to cover holidays etc.
Volunteering in the shop includes working behind the till, handling money, interacting with customers, keeping the shop neat and tidy and displaying new items that come into the shop. Experience is not necessary as we can provide training, but being confident to work on the till is preferred.
If you have a few hours each week to spare to cover a shift, we'd also love to hear from you. The shifts are split into mornings and afternoons - 10am to 12pm and 12pm to 2pm and we are open every day apart from Sunday. If you want a more flexible role but would love to help in the shops, then we also need 'casual' volunteers who we could call on when we need extra help.
Donated goods sorters
The main role of our dedicated team of sorters is to go through all the bags and boxes of donated items that are dropped off to us. The volunteers make sure that items are shop ready and also rotate seasonal stock. This role is more flexible than the shop volunteers but takes place between 10am to 2pm when the shops are open. We'd be very grateful of whatever time you can spare us.
