When he first arrived at the Centre, he was completely petrified and wanted no human interaction at all. With patience, care and so much love, the kennel team worked tirelessly to help Mike build his confidence and to begin to trust people.
Our amazing kennel team spent over a year supporting Mike on his journey — especially his kennel mum our dog behaviourist, whose dedication has made such a difference.
It really was a magical beginning to 2026, when we finally waved him off to his new home. For some dogs having a collar put on, walking on a lead, being combed, having a bath are no big deal but for Mike these are milestone moments and we're so proud of him and his new family.
