Today (Monday 2nd June) marks the start of #VolunteersWeek which is an annual UK-wide campaign to celebrate and recognise the contributions of volunteers.
Without the help of our wonderful volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. Our amazing volunteers support us in so many ways including dog walking, pet sitting, animal fostering, cattery cleaning, gardening, serving in our Charity shops, sorting donated items, fundraising, collecting from supermarkets, taking photos of our cats and dogs, helping at events, the list is endless! For bigger jobs, like gardening projects and painting, we’re lucky to have businesses that send teams to support us. Our Trustees, those that are responsible for ensuring L.A.A. is well run, are all volunteers too.
We want to say a massive thank you to all our volunteers, past and present, who have given up countless hours to help us and all share one thing in common – the desire to make a real difference to the lives of cats and dogs in need.
