Petplan grant will make big difference to CPSS

Published 29th April 2025

Petplan Charitable Trust, the charitable arm of the popular pet insurance company, has awarded L.A.A. a grant of £15,000 to help with our Community Pet Support Scheme (CPSS). This is the latest show of support from the Trust whose help, over the last few years, has contributed to key developments onsite such as the training barn, improvements to our Cattery intake and dog agility equipment. We are delighted to have their support once again.

L.A.A. Philanthropy Manager, Izzy Tutcher says,

“We are so grateful for the ongoing support and recognition of Petplan Charitable Trust to our Charity and to our Community Pet Support Scheme, both through grants and the Animal Charity Team of the Year award in 2024.

“This grant will help to provide over 900 hours of free practical pet care to vulnerable people and their pets in Leicestershire. Through the professional, kind and non-judgemental care provided, the grant will help to keep more owners and pets together, improve owner and pet wellbeing, reduce social isolation through regular visits and build friendships through a shared love of animals.”

The Petplan grant will ensure that clients like David (pictured below with his dog Toby) can enjoy living together for as long as is mutually beneficial. More information about the CPSS is available here.

We would like to thank Petplan Charitable Trust for its ongoing support. More information about their valuable work promoting the health and welfare of animals in the UK and beyond is available here.
