L.A.A.'s Family Fun Day & Dog Show - Sunday 15.09.2024

We hope you can join us for an afternoon of fun and entertainment to help us raise vital funds so we can continue to care for around 300 cats and dogs in need each year.

There really will be something for everyone at L.A.A.’s Family Fun Day & Dog Show on Sunday 15th September.  As well as our fun dog show there will be kids’ rides, a DJ, full bar, refreshments, ice cream van, raffle and more than 20 stalls so far booked on.

For the second year running we’ll be holding the event just down the road from our Centre at Huncote Sports & Social Club, LE9 7TF.  The event opens from 12pm to 4pm and entry is just £2 for adults, under 16s go free and there is free parking.

Our popular fun dog show starts at 1pm, but you can register your four-legged friend from 12pm. Friendly dogs are welcome, whether they’re pedigree or crossbreed, small or large, pup or senior, or somewhere in between.  We hope to see lots of our former residents, especially in the Best Rescue category!

It’s £2.50 entry per dog per class and we have seven rounds and we’re sure you can find at least one that you can enter your pooch into.  We’ll start off with Golden Oldie (over 8s) and then go on to Waggiest Tail, Best Youngster (3 and under), Best Female, Best Male, Best Rescue, All Comers (any dog) and finish off with the Best in Show where the winner from each round is invited to compete to see who will be crowned ‘top dog’.  There will be rosettes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
