Spring Dog Show fun

Published 13th May 2024

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and supported us at our Spring Dog Show on Sunday 12th May.  It was fantastic to see so many enjoying the event and taking part in the dog show.

We loved seeing so many of you and your four-legged friends at the dog show.  It was an amazing turn-out and we had more than 80 entries into the seven different dog show classes which was fantastic!

The judges had such a difficult job deciding on the top places, especially in the Best Rescue category.  It was great to meet so many dogs of different, shapes, sizes, breeds and backgrounds.  We especially loved seeing former residents of L.A.A. living their best lives.

We were so grateful to our special guests who had the difficult task of judging the dog show - Chair of Blaby District Council Cheryl Cashmore, amazing supporter of L.A.A. Chelsea Read, Duty Manager at L.A.A. Aimee Winter and Harry Root representing Kia Loughborough who proudly sponsored the Dog Show.

The Best in Show crown went to the waggiest tail round winner, the adorable Ethel.  Our wonderful volunteer photographer has taken some amazing pictures and we’ll be sharing them with you soon.

A huge shout-out must go to all our volunteers, we couldn’t have done it without them, Huncote Sports & Social Club for being the perfect host and our Dog Show sponsor’s Kia Loughborough.  We really do appreciate each and every one of you.  Thank you to everyone who supported us in any way to make our Dog Show a massive success.  It means so much to us and raises funds to help us support cats and dogs in need.
