Huncote Hounds cook up a storm

Huncote Hound club members cooked up a storm at their activity morning with youngsters rolling up their sleeves and making lots of delicious goodies.

The children loved mixing up all the ingredients for the cheesy dog biscuits and were surprised that it turned from a gooey messy into a dough that they could roll out. The heart-shaped cutter proved to be the most popular and lots of the residents at the Centre got to sample them.

We didn’t want to forget our feathered-friends so everyone had a go at making bird feeders using pine cones. It was very messy but all the children were impressed with their creations and were excited to hang them up and see if any birds were tempted.

The highlight for the children had to be meeting big softie Enzo, an 8-year-old Labrador cross. He loved meeting all the children, especially as he got to try one of the dog biscuits!
