Huncote Hound members have a pawfect time!

The snow didn’t deter our Huncote Hound Club members who braved the blizzards and biting cold to come along to their activity morning on Saturday.

We got busy (and a bit messy!) in the kitchen making and decorating cup-cakes for the refreshment table at the Centre’s charity sale. The young bakers did an amazing job and the cakes went down a treat.

After some well-earned refreshments, the children helped to make up doggy bags for our fun dog show on Sunday 25th March and then set off for their favourite part of the morning – a tour of the Centre!

Everyone agreed that the highlight of the morning was meeting the adorable Woody Woodpecker, a seven-year-old, Pug cross Beagle. He loved all the fuss and attention and rewarded everyone with a high five!  He is such a sweet little chap and everyone hoped that he’d find his forever home really soon.

The Huncote Hound Club is for animal-lovers aged 16 and under and members get to come along to quarterly activity mornings, receive a newsletter and get a certificate and medal.  You can find out more about the Club here.
