Become a member…and a part of the family

Since Leicester Animal Aid Association was founded in 1956 by Dorothea Farndon, we have helped many thousands of animals, who would otherwise have faced a bleak future. Funding has always been a major problem, and the costs increase each year. Leicester Animal Aid receives no government funding and is entirely reliant on charity income, and grants.

By becoming a member you will be helping us financially, but hopefully you will also become a regular visitor and maybe even help out in some way. There are plenty of opportunities to become an active member, if you want to.

Why become a member?

There are lots of good reasons to become a member. For a start:

  • You will receive a copy of the Leicester Animal Aid Newsletter, which comes out twice a year.
  • You can vote at the Annual General Meeting in May

But you will get much more than that. By becoming a member you will be joining a very special family. Leicester Animal Aid is a very close knit community, made up of staff and volunteers, and not forgetting the four legged stars—dogs and cats. Everyone works together for the benefit of the animals in their care.
