Ways of giving

Here’s ten quick and simple ways how you can help the LAA:

  1. Act on your New Year's resolutions:
    • Stop smoking and set up a standing order for £5 per month and still have money spare to support other charities / save up for a holiday
    • Get active and fit – become a volunteer dog walker, our dogs will help you shed the pounds
  2. Way to help financially:
    • Set up a standing order for as little as £3 per month - or as much or as little as you can afford – to help meet the running costs
    • Become a member for just £15 per year or £10 if over 60.
    • Enrol your son or daughter in the Huncote Hound Club for £8
    • Sponsor the fostering of an animal so it can have a new home tomorrow for as little as £3 per month - or as much or as little as you can afford – it really makes a difference- the LAA pays all vets bills for life.
    • Hire our education centre  – For just £7 per evening* you can use our brand new hall with full fitted kitchen for your own meetings
    • Set up a legacy donation in your will
  3. Support our 50th Anniversary celebrations – come along to our special celebration events and have a great day out
  4. Clear out your cupboards! – by donating unused toys, household items and jewellery for resale in our onsite charity shop, old blankets/towels that can be used as bedding. Drop off at the centre
  5. Turn your tin cans to cash – drop off your aluminium cans as the LAA – we get money from the council for cans recycled
  6. Make the most of your spare time and get involved! – the LAA has a wide range of roles available for volunteers to deliver its busy calendar of activities
  7. Add an extra item or two to your shopping list - Donate food and cleaning products as this really makes a difference and helps keep our running costs down
  8. Become an animal fosterer – All you need is to be able to offer a kind and loving home and LAA will ensure all vets bills are met for the lifetime of the animal
  9. Become a local fundraiser for the LAA – our staff can give you ideas, hints and tips on how to run events and what works best
  10. Ask your friends who may not see the appeal as they are out at work to help with any of the above
