Philanthropy

Significant philanthropic donations help us to prepare for the future, to create and upgrade facilities, and to ensure that we can continue to give the highest quality care to our residents.

The Purrfect Palace

On arrival at the Centre, all our dogs check into ‘Grants Inn’ – a purpose-built space which provides calm and quiet pods for new residents together with space for veterinary and behavioural assessments.

The creation of this state-of-the-art facility was thanks to a philanthropic donation from Shirley Grant, who has been involved with the Charity for many years.  Shirley likes to support local charities wherever she can and felt that L.A.A. were extremely supportive in helping her to choose what she wanted her donation to represent.

Our feline friends have also had an accommodation upgrade!  The Purrfect Palace is used for cats who may find the existing cattery busy and overwhelming or those who are used to being outdoors and having more space to roam. The new pens were made possible thanks to funding from the Pets at Home Foundation together with a generous donation from the Proctors, a local family of animal lovers.

The generosity of individuals and families can make a huge difference to the Charity and really does improve the well-being of our residents until they can be found new forever homes.

If you would like more information about how you can transform the lives of cats and dogs at our Centre or in the community with a significant philanthropic gift, please contact our Philanthropy Manager, Izzy Tutcher, on 01455 888257 or email izzy.tutcher@leicesteranimalaid.org.uk
