Please note that some SatNav devices may wrongly show Leicester Animal Aid as being located on the M69. Motorway users please exit the M69 at Junction 3 or the M1 at Junction 21 and then follow the signs for Narborough and Huncote (Pavillion).
Our focus at Leicester Animal Aid is to provide a quality, individual care for each of our temporary four legged residents. Our dogs only spend a minimum amount of time in their own kennel to prevent boredom, frustration and anxiety. They each spend time within the kennel kitchens, ‘chill-out rooms’, conservatory area and various play areas. In addition, they receive regular exercise throughout the day between our large free-running field, agility paddock, sensory garden and copse. Because of this, dogs will not necessarily be within their kennels and will not all be on view.
Our Homing Board will allow you to see photos of the dogs looking for new homes and we have a Homing Folder on our Reception desk which provides a brief description of each dog and additional photo.
On Wednesdays we offer a 'Meet your Match' scheme whereby we take details of the sort of dog you are looking for and you can meet any suitable dogs in the quiet and comfort of our Education Centre. Access to the kennels is restricted to staff only on Wednesdays as this scheme also helps staff spend more time training the dogs on site and nervous dogs will get extra time and support in play areas. The Charity Shop, Reception Shop and Cattery are open as usual on Wednesdays.
Please ask our Reception staff for any additional information and they will be pleased to assist you and help you to find the right dog for you.
