About Ella

Gorgeous girl Ella sadly came to Leicester Animal Aid as a stray. She is such a sweet girl who has so much love to give and really deserves a very special home. Like most cats, Ella can be a bit unsure of new places and environments, but with a bit of patience she soon comes round. Ella loves her food, and this can be used as a way of making a bond with her. Despite her age, Ella is not overly playful here in the cattery, though this could change once she is in a stable home environment. She does, however, love fuss and affection, often meowing for attention if she knows you're nearby. Ella would love a family home where children are aged 8 + and are respectful of cats. She loves to be in your company and would complete a family. Ella would need to be the only pet in the household.

Cat Care

Until a cat is settled into a new home it is essential that they are not let outside and as a general guide this would be about four weeks. However, this is dependent on the individual cat.
Whilst a cat is confined to indoors you can introduce new toys for them to play with and chase. Cat nip toys can be especially rewarding. A scratch post will hopefully discourage them from choosing your sofa to sharpen their claws! Regular grooming by you will help to cement the bond between cat and new owner and although cats are known to generally be more independent than a dog, they thrive on companionship and interactive play. Even adult cats can be persuaded to practice their stalking and pouncing skills on an old shoelace, or play hide and seek in a cardboard box!
