About Bella

Beautiful little Bella came to LAA as she was very nervous of the children living in her previous home. She is a real bundle of joy, always running to greet you whenever she sees you enter a room, and rarely turning down an opportunity for a cuddle or a play. Sadly, Bella has only ever lived as an indoor-only house cat, but as she is still a very young, clever cat we are looking for a home where she can begin exploring the outside world as safely as possibly, should she choose to. Additionally, any new owners must be aware that Bella does find new environments and situations quite unsettling initially and will need plenty of time to settle in to her new home. Due to Bella being quite nervous of children she would ideally need an adult-only home, but may be happy also living with respectful older teenagers. Additionally, as Bella has lived quite a sheltered life, she is also very nervous around other animals and would therefore need to be the only pet in the household.

Cat Care

Until a cat is settled into a new home it is essential that they are not let outside and as a general guide this would be about four weeks. However, this is dependent on the individual cat.
Whilst a cat is confined to indoors you can introduce new toys for them to play with and chase. Cat nip toys can be especially rewarding. A scratch post will hopefully discourage them from choosing your sofa to sharpen their claws! Regular grooming by you will help to cement the bond between cat and new owner and although cats are known to generally be more independent than a dog, they thrive on companionship and interactive play. Even adult cats can be persuaded to practice their stalking and pouncing skills on an old shoelace, or play hide and seek in a cardboard box!
