About Bimmer and Hugo

This adorable pair sadly came into the centre as their owner was no longer able to care for them. Both are fairly timid and a little under-socialised, but are very fussy and affectionate once they trust you and the environment they are in. Hugo is a little more confident than his sister Bimmer, and is also a lot more inquisitive and curious about new things. Bimmer, on the other hand, is very sensitive but is much more fussy and loving than her brother. She seems to prefer the indoor life, while her brother Hugo loves to be out and about. As they have always been together, and do love each other very much, we are looking for a home where they can stay together. Any potential owners will need to be experienced, preferably having owned a timid cat before, and they will need to be the only pets in the home. We think Hugo and Bimmer would be more comfortable without any children in the home, however they probably wouldn't mind living with experienced, respectful teenagers.

Cat Care

Until a cat is settled into a new home it is essential that they are not let outside and as a general guide this would be about four weeks. However, this is dependent on the individual cat.
Whilst a cat is confined to indoors you can introduce new toys for them to play with and chase. Cat nip toys can be especially rewarding. A scratch post will hopefully discourage them from choosing your sofa to sharpen their claws! Regular grooming by you will help to cement the bond between cat and new owner and although cats are known to generally be more independent than a dog, they thrive on companionship and interactive play. Even adult cats can be persuaded to practice their stalking and pouncing skills on an old shoelace, or play hide and seek in a cardboard box!
