About Tattiana

Adorable Princess Tattiana sadly came into the centre as her owner could no longer care for her. She is a real sweet girl who is still adjusting to her new environment. However, once she trusts you she can become a real fusspot, often asking for your attention with a little chirrup or a meow. Tattiana loves chin scratches and head rubs, and would surely make a fantastic companion once she is settled in her new home. Everything is a little daunting for her here at the centre, so it can take a little while to make that special bond with Tattiana. However, with enough patience and love, and a little hidey spot for her to retreat to if she feels anxious or worried, she soon comes round. We are currently assessing whether or not Tattiana would enjoy living with other cats, but we are certain she would not take too kindly to sharing her home with a canine friend. Any children in the home would ideally be in their teenage years, or old enough and experienced enough to respect Tattiana's space, should she need it. Any potential owners need to be prepared to give Tattiana a lengthy settling in period as it can take her a while to adjust to new surroundings.

Cat Care

Until a cat is settled into a new home it is essential that they are not let outside and as a general guide this would be about four weeks. However, this is dependent on the individual cat.
Whilst a cat is confined to indoors you can introduce new toys for them to play with and chase. Cat nip toys can be especially rewarding. A scratch post will hopefully discourage them from choosing your sofa to sharpen their claws! Regular grooming by you will help to cement the bond between cat and new owner and although cats are known to generally be more independent than a dog, they thrive on companionship and interactive play. Even adult cats can be persuaded to practice their stalking and pouncing skills on an old shoelace, or play hide and seek in a cardboard box!
