Happy Tails - Blossom's Story

Blossom the Lurcher has really been ‘blossoming’ since being at home with her new family

Blossom at the seaside

Blossom, a Lurcher aged around 3 came to Leicester Animal Aid as a stray in March 2023. Though she arrived under challenging circumstances, it was clear from the start that Blossom was a happy, friendly girl who responded well to meeting new people and appeared confident. Due to her friendly nature, staff felt that Blossom was ready to be rehomed almost immediately and wasted no time in searching for a home where she could live with older children and perhaps another dog for company.

It wasn’t long before Blossom caught the eye of new Mum, Tracey. After only a 5-week stay with us, Blossom was adopted by her new parents.

Now at home, Blossom has settled in well and is very comfortable with plenty of cosy blankets and beds to choose from (she's quite partial to cuddling up in bed for an afternoon snooze, apparently). In additional to enjoying her homely comforts, Blossom is starting to show her cheeky side, too. We are reliably informed that Blossom is now living her best life, including holidays where she takes seaside strolls with Dad and a splash in the sea with Mum, who says:

“Blossom is clearly very comfortable with us now as her cheeky side is coming out. She definitely has her paws firmly under the table. I’m sure she’ll want to send you some more pics soon - after she’s been on some more adventures! She’s such a happy little soul.”
