The LAA Walking Group meets on the first Sunday of the month, alternating between Burbage Common & Woods (meet at visitor's centre) and Fosse Meadows, nr Sharnford (meet in carpark). The aim of the group is simple: like-minded people and their dogs can get together for a nice walk (usually about an hour long), with lots of off-lead running for the dogs. The December walk at Burbage Common and the January walk at Fosse Meadows were both very well attended and all the dogs had a fantastic time and got on great together (and the owners did too!). The walks start at 1pm and there will be some goodies to buy at the end so please bring some pennies to put in the collecting tin!

The February walk will take place at Burbage Common and Woods - meet us at the visitors centre at 1pm. No need to book just turn up! And remember: it might be muddy, it may have snowed, but theres no such thing as bad weather - just the wrong clothes! Be sure to wrap up warm and waterproof if the weather looks a bit 'British'!

This is a photo from the January walk. As you can see, all shapes and sizes of dogs had fun! And it was great to see ex-LAA dogs looking so happy with their lovely new owners.

Fancy taking it up a gear? Then join our Jog With Your Dog Group! The group meets on Saturday mornings at Glen Hills Memorial Hall in Glen Parva for a 45 minute jog / fast walk around the fields (weather permitting) or Great Central Way if it's too muddy. You don't need to be a good runner to join in, currently members are working up to being able to do a 5km / 2mile run.
